We receive and may store any information you enter on our website. For example, we collect information you provide when you email us or submit a Volunteer Application. This information may include:
Who will see my information?
Please be assure that APWC will never share your information with any third parties. Your information goes directly into our email inbox, which is only accessible by certain APWC staff. We also take measures to protect your information offline. All of our volunteer information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our office. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, contacting you about a volunteer opportunity) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screensavers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must reenter their password to regain access. Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Finally, the servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment, which are only accessible by APWC staff via password-protected accounts.
Are they are any instances that my information will be shared with a third party?
APWC works very hard to protect your privacy. However, personal information may be disclosed if required by law. In addition, despite all of our efforts, there is always a risk that third parties may unlawfully intercept transmissions. This reality is true of all Internet use. As a result, we cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit, and you transmit all information at your own risk.
